Zach’s sons and grandson, Carl Clore, Sr. and Carl Clore, Jr. served many years on the school board in the 1950’s and 1960’s. Car, Jr. (June) was also a benefactor to the schools, library, fire department, and in general to the needy peoply as he found them. Since his death his family has donated properties to various organizations including Rose Haven, the Oldham County libraries, the parks department (Briar Hill Park – 70 acres), the roads system (18 acres for the Crestwood Bypass), and lately, 17 acres to the Oldham County School System.
